WHO AM I?
The Shift
I directed, edited, and wrote this original short film during my time at New York Film academy. We were assigned to make a montage video, and I unknowingly used my inspiration from personal heartbreak and Before Sunrise to capture this. Click on the link to view.
Home Alone?
This is another original short film I directed, edited, and wrote during my time at New York Film Academy. This was for the continuity assignment, to demonstrate we understood how to capture the same space and movement from different angles. Being a horror fan, I used inspiration from Insidious.
INSTAGRAM REELS
I created this reel to get a feel for an event called The Barn in New Hope, PA.
I’m Alexandra, but you can call me Allie. I’m from a small town in New Jersey. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a video editor and director when I started making music videos with my friends to Avril Lavigne songs. Now, I am on the endeavor to make this passion my career. I am excited to put in the effort, gain experience, absorb creative knowledge, and most importantly, create as much art as I can.
I consider myself to be a visual artist who uses intuition to gauge what a project needs or is lacking. I have a knack for perceiving the world in a way that others might not immediately notice. Whether it’s directing short films or crafting Instagram reels, I’m driven by the desire to transform my daydreams into tangible creations, and working with a team. For me, creativity is a genuine means of connecting with people through shared experiences. This perspective greatly influences my work, where aesthetics and presentation hold significant importance.
Outside of my creative endeavors, I enjoy hiking, baking, meditation, reading tarot cards, strumming my guitar, and spending quality time with family and friends.
ORIGINAL SHORT FILMS
(More to come…)
I created this reel as a short promo for a band.
